Finall connected on those little feathery rockets today. Took OB and Milo. All credit goes to the older Milo for the finds but only because he happened to be the one on the ground at the time. Although, OB is a real pleasure to hunt behind even if he points tweety birds and mice (at least I know he is using his nose). He did have a couple of actual quail points last weekend tho.
Tomorrow my daughter and I will go out to a field I scouted for chickens and if they don't fly into the field shortly after sun up then I'm turning Rocket Bob (OB's track star brother) loose on them and see if we can get within shooting distance.
These dudes are a hoot to hunt behind. My wife says they are like ghosts. One second they are waaaay out front or over to one side and then all of the sudden they are on the other side of us.
