I use just the reagular field pants. Light weight and comfortable. Cheap, so when my butt gets bigger a new pair is no big deal. When in snow, wet or heevy dew/frost I wear Filson Chaps over them. To re condition I will throw them in the dryer to heat up, then apply the Filson goo, then throw them in the dryer agian for a couple of minutes. That is a dryer at the laundry mat. Ever notice your cloths has that smell or is just a little greasy, while you just used the dryer I left.
