I am way to excited to early, but I just had my female Roxy bred last week to an awesome stud dog. I am looking forward to a great litter of golden retriever puppies sometime around the end of June. These little guys will go home in August and we will be ready to hunt again in the fall! Check out my web site for more info on the parents and what we are trying to do with these field bred goldens. Although our numbers may not be what some of the more popular breeds are I am very pleased with how the puppies out of my last 6 or so litters are hunting and working in the field. Repeat clients and family members also tell the story. If you need a puppy fix stop by my place in August when we have them out running around the yard and chasing some birds in a pen!

Joel,

My Max will be 7 in September...not sure how many seasons are left in me; turn 80 in January and both knees are suggesting I slow down! I am sure tempted to bring another dog along with Max.

If your puppies are anything like (Roxy) I hunted with several years ago, hunters should stand in line for these fine dogs!

My Max has Top Brass in his pedigree and I noticed the sire does also...good choice, Joel.

That is a great pairing. I had a male out of Cappy and Maxie and when he died I tried to get a pup out of one of his full brothers. That didn't happen but we got a male and female grandchildren of Toby's brother. They are hunters. The male has as much prey drive as any dog I've had (18) and the female has competition dog drive. She was retrieving piles and multiple throw bumpers at 5 months. I just love that line of dogs. Pure predators in the field and lovers in the house. Good luck with this litter. I'm excited for you.

Nice breeding. Should be a hoot in the field. See if you can get a couple in homes that run dog agility also. My little red dogs leave the border collies in the dust in the agility ring during the off season.

Im a certified Golden junkie too, keep the updates coming!! Ill be following closely!! Good luck and have fun!

I am pretty excited as well. Joel and I met in March when I made the 11+ hour drive to meet Roxy, and well Joel too. Joel says I have the first female pick and I will be again at 3 Goldens. Guys if your in the market for a dog I sure like what he has going on in his breeding.
