For the past two weeks me and dad have been yelled at on public ground with state signs and public hunting and pheasant forever signs. So were not breaking any law nor trespassing. What are these farmers problems.

To stop shooting and leave the property. I told him call the law cause I love for them to write him a ticket for interference in a persons hunt. Then he drove off to his house. What are their problems its not like farmers in Nebraska need anything.

Sounds to me like a guy having a bad day. Brush it off and move on;).

Did you manage to hunt that field at least? Any luck? How's your season been going over all this year?

similar event

As we headed into our U-guide hunt this year, we stopped at WIA that is adjacent to WPA land. At the end of the huntable land, we came on a fenced area that held sheep, and a couple of very efficient sheep dogs guarding the flock. We leashed the dogs and were done any way so we started walking across a "was Beans" fiel to get back to the truck. The bean field was in the marked WIA area. We saw a picked truck moving up at the road then then it worked is way to us in kind of a hurry. The farmed was not in a good mood and was looking for his sheep. We pointed to were they were and he wanted to know how they got in that field. I suggested the big hole in the fence. Then he started lecturing us about hunting with dogs near his sheep. There was no conversing with him about the WIA, etc. So we smiled, and apologized, and moved off. 1st time we had a negative experience with anybody in 6 yrs of SD hunting.

Yep myself dad and brother hunted on. We ended up with a covey only shot 2. So the butt is on that farmer. Season wise not bad most pheasants we shot we from David city west. Eastern Nebraska is in a almost wanna quit nothing but a few quail. To only thing about the eastern part of the state is the waterfowl hunting.

What WPA are you talking about? Where is it?

I can never figure out to how to make an attachment. It always fails.
SW of Tabor, off of SD 52 up next to the lake. There is a GPA off of 423 Ave and 311 st.
The "Sheep Farm" was a 1/2 section to the east.
