I'm looking up new dove recipes that I hope to put to good use in a few days.

Dove nug with cream cheese, jalapeno, bacon, and sometimes some cheese. Pop that on the grill. You won't regret it.

I typically take 2 breast and place a jalapeno pepper and cream cheese in the in the middle and wrap with bacon. Then brush with maple syrup and grill. But you could do the same with a dog turd and it would taste good.

We clean them with the meat still attached to the breast bone, bread them in seasoned cracker crumbs and fry them in butter, darn good eatin'!

My wife makes a dish called "dove love delight". It is the best way Ive ever eaten it. I will send the recipe as soon as I can. I typically put them on skewers and the kids eat them. But the wife has figured out dove. Good woman. Well good cook anyway!!

I've always said I would rather get skunked at dove hunting than shoot one or two. Lots of effort to cook them so they taste good.

Unfortunately, over the years I have shot only one or two plenty of times. Here's my 2-dove recipe. Take your two doves and pop the breasts out with the breastbone attached and put directly on the grill. Cook it hot and fast, and pull it off while it is still plenty moist inside. Fillet the cooked meat off the bone and choke it down with beer... Alternatively, you could just gnaw it off the bone like a caveman. Probably best if you have a few beers before you start this recipe also.

This recipe saves you a lot of time slicing up peppers and cheese and you can save your bacon for breakfast the next day.

You're right. Dog turds prepared this way taste good - so I'm told.

Take your breast halves marinade in soy/garlic or Dales for a few hours. Forget the cream cheese. Jalapeno, onion, or green pepper, wrap in bacon and grill.
