Anybody ever been there? Restaurant capitol of North Central MN.
Our home is a few miles cross country. We heard sirens and smelled smoke at about 3 am. Dorset House and Companeros burned to the ground.
All during a severe thunderstorm, lightning crashing constantly.

I think you have a little spelling error. It should be Dorset, MN. :)
 
I have a cabin by Detroit Lakes and my neighbor called me this morning. he said, we had crazy weather last night, a little hail, tons of lightning, and over 5 inches of rain.

Yeah, :confused: I go through the place only about 10 times per week. :eek:

Maybe should take a second to proof read, you think? Maybe spell check? :eek:

On my defense, this puter I have, does seem to have missed a step. :cheers:

Anyway, the old Dorset House was put in as a stop over for the newly constructed branch line of the Great Northern RR, about a 100 years ago. The old ice cream fountain was almost original, neat place for sure. Proclaimed to be the best in MN to get a Sundae or any old fashioned ice cream stuff.
VERY busy indeed Memorial Day through Lbor Day.
