Actually the 1500NCP has been discontinued by Dogtra and replaced with the 1900NCP. I wouldn't worry about the fact this model has been discontinued. I have a Dogra 202NCP and that also has been replaced by a new model. I've had my 202NCP for 6 years and never had one problem. Dogtra makes some great collars. Dogtra and TriTronics are the best on the market.
