Thanks for having the wisdom to not neuter early.I ended up leaving her at home. She’ll be in SoDak in a couple weeks. We will be spaying her after 2 cycles which will conclude in a week or so.

Castration is male neutering and spaying is female neutering. I have performed thousands of each, DVM Class of 1979 U of MinnesotaIf you asked your vet if you could neuter a female they would look at you like you were missing a few marbles.

I will ask the guy in the mirror and no marbles missing.
I don't own a dog but am interested in getting one in the future. There is a school of thought never get a dog spayed or neutered unless it's medically necessary . There's another school of thought that for first time owners its easier to train a female dog then a male dog and female dog's prefer male owners vs male dogs prefer female owners.Castration is male neutering and spaying is female neutering. Dog training appears to be akin to theological debates on training protocols and proper canine nutrition is another complex theological type debate. So being a new dog owner in the 21st Century is apparently complicated.

That's exactly what I was thinking about Gim's comment. I bet he's an old white guy, probably even a boomerMaybe Woke individuals don't care for the C word so neutered is now "the proper word" for a male that is no longer intact.
