Dog retrives live coon.

Today the trusty lab got into a tussle with a coon. He grabbed it by the neck and kept trying to give it to me. The problem was it was still alive. My hunting partners thought it was quite funny to see me trying to get away from my dog as it keeps trying to drop a live raccoon at my feet. We may have to work on the coon problem during training sessions.

Maybe your dog was trying to help pay for those high gas bills with all those trips to SD. A coon = 2 gal of gas.

I have ran into them out in the cattails before too, late season grouped up. Last year my dog started scrappen and I got her back, let off a quick barage and blasted 4 with the beneli. But never a retrieve. Odie did find a dead deer today hunting though, he was scared of it, it was funny. One someone shot and left this morning.
