Dog Loves Locusts

Dog having a ball snapping and lunging at seventeen year locusts on our morning walks. Never seen him so interested in insects.

The noise they make probably hurts his ears.

Our departed golden retriever, Rusty, ate them. We would go outside in the evenings, and he would snap up all he could find. You could hear them buzzing away in his mouth as he would parade around with them. Then, eventually he would get bored and CRUNCH!

My wife was thoroughly disgusted by it, but I always thought it was pretty funny. He was a pretty good cicada hunter. I still miss that dog.
