Dog Friendly in Piere

Dog friendly motels

Got back from hunting SD a couple of weeks ago. Stayed at the Comfort inn in Pierre.
Stayed in a ground level room. Brought the dogs in the back door. Although I did see labs in the front lobby. Cost around $90 a night. That included a hot breakfast. Bacon, eggs, biscuits gravy, waffles, cereal, coffee. Dog friendly place. Room had a small fridge. Had to clean birds off the tailgate in the parking lot but worked out OK. Super 8 is right next door. And good mexican restaurant two doors down. Be sure to try the Cattlemen's club east of town for a good steak. I think most motels were dog friendly. They all had banners saying welcome hunters. I do believe the Days Inn wants to charge extra though for dogs.
Good luck and enjoy the hunt.

pierre motel

the super 8 in Pierre will not meet your needs, but maybe the Ft. pierre motel will, they cater to hunters, thier phone no. is 605-223-3111. We had booked some rooms there in Sept. but opted out to stay in Lower Brule. I am not real sure about the outside intrance to the room but you can call.We stayed last year at the super-8 and dogs stayed on the 3rd floor but that wasn't much trouble for my dog and the rooms were around 56 dollars or so, I think they forgot to add the dog cost but not sure.

I always stay at the super 8. As stated no outside rooms but Pierre is not quite as seedy as Ft Pierre IMO. Rooms are clean and cheap. Eat breakfast at the Kountry Kitchen, couple blocks east. Dinner I like Mad Mary's for a good steak.
