Anyone have any ideas on how to protect dogs ankles from getting cut up by crusty snow? Her pads and feet are fine it just where he ankles and legs that get cut when going thru crusty snow.
I've tried prewrap and then taping but that doesnt last or she'll nibble off. I was thinking about something along the lines of mountain bike tire but in half and taped on. It should be flexible enough and durable that it wont fall off or get cut up by weeds/etc.
The dog boots that I've seen are more for feet/pads and dont go up the leg more than a 1/2 inch.

Thanks in advance. Hopefully someone has some ideas or I'm done for the year.

motorcycle inner tubes, powdered on the inside, cut to fit, slip on easily, tape them to vet wrap, a little work...
