Does a Garmin watch paired with your Garmin Controler provide value when hunting

Thank to all that read my post and respond. I know I am new to this type of hunting, and sharing your experience sure does help.

I was wondering what you all thought of the watches that pair with your garmin hand held, and they show distance and direction, stopped or running. Do these provide much value. I was wondering if anyone here uses them, and if they thought it was worth the money or not?

Watch is great once your out of the phase of making corrections with the controller. With multiple dogs is easy to take a glance and get a vibrate on point. Don’t k is your style or breed but if dog is out of sight a lot it’s a good tool

100% worth it. I also use my Instinct to track steps/exercise/sleep, as a GPS tracker for myself, read txt messages when I don't want to pull out my phone, as a timer for the grill/smoker/stove, alarm clock, and...to tell time! I've never loved wearing a watch, but I do kinda love this one.
I use my watch every day and love it. It will also pair with your phone if you hiking or need gps without the Alpha. I find it most useful when walking into a dog on point in heavy cover for hunting situations.

I'm right handed, watch on my left wrist. I turn the watch so the face is on the inside of my wrist. While holding a shotgun forearm up, a glance shows the arrow(s) pointing in the direction of the dog(s).

Much easier than looking at the big (and in my opinion, unhandy 200i handheld).

So yes, I like the watch.
