Des Plaines Conservation Area - Still Operating

Is Des Plaines still open and how is the hunting? I hunted there for 35 years before moving to Minnesota 4 years ago. I loved the convenience and it allowed me to play hooky for a couple hours before work. Minnesota has a ton of public available.

I hunted there today. It’s pretty good. Fields are nice. Shot my 2 birds in an hour.

I lived just up I55 for many years and used to go there.
I took about 10 yrs off and tried it again last year. Ill probably never go back and leave it at that.
