Went deer hunting this morning, and besides being with my father I did'nt have fun. Rushed to get in your spot, up early to see one little deer, and the being tired all day.

Should of stuck to bird hunting! At least you would of got some exercise for you and the dog.

You don't do much deer hunting either? Waterfowl and upland?

Ya I gave up deer hunting a few years ago. It's all bird hunting for me. Deer hunting is just too boring for me and when you finally get to shoot, you have to deal with a big dead animal.

Ya I'm pretty new to waterfowl hunting but I love it. I never was really into ducks until I got my lab last year, I just really wanted to give her more retrieves on real birds during real hunts, and we have both fell in love with duck hunting.
Its been tough for us so far this year because both of my favorite spots are bone dry so we have seen very few birds. But I've got a few new spots I'm going to try next weekend.
I wish I could pheasant hunt more but living in central Texas makes that pretty much impossible, so for now I get to go on one week long hunt a year.

Ya I've been thinking about it, I hate the idea of it but I know she won't know the difference and that's really all that matters.

I like duck hunting don't mind deer hunting as both of them I'm not frezzing still hunting, but even a game ranch I have more fun at than both. People just ask me here on the eastern side of Nebraska why pheasant hunt you have to drive miles. I say for the love of the dogs and passing a traidtion down to my kids.
