Just waiting on a bit of cool weather. Get a few more leaves off the trees and give me some nice, low overnight temps to help cool down the meat. I'm definitely ready to put arrows in a buck and a doe!
I shot my first muzzleloader deer back on opening weekend. Small buck at 35 yards. 75 degrees is warm for deer hunting, but it was nice not freezing to death. Quartered and in the cooler on ice within the hour. Might allow me an extra bird hunt or two this year.
