Decent Public Ground

Hey guys, a buddy and I are thinking of coming up from Kansas for opener this year. Was wondering if there was any decent public hunting in the SE / south central part of the state? Driving from Manhattan area. TIA

If you hunt along the Hwy 36 corridor in N KS, that's about how it will be in Southern NE.

That's a shame. We used to get into them pretty regularly when I was going to school at Peru, and that was on private as well as public. Granted that was 15 years ago.

Game and parks released birds this week. The only way possible to get a limit on the eastern part of the state. We might as well be Ohio, Indiana, or Illinois.
