Went for grouse at our camp in Bradford County. It was a great hunt, the birds were where we thought they would be. Unfortunately my shooting was horrible, I missed a couple of real easy shots!

I took a picture of this guy "left side of picture", we didn't shoot at him because he was right on our property just a few yards from camp. After I missed the others I was thinking twice about that! LOL

Glad you got to see birds. Wish I lived closer to some grouse. Maybe your shooting will be better next time.:)

Me too, our camp is 3 1/2 hours away! But we have been doing it for so long it doesn't bother us anymore! My shooting hasn't been good all year" remember the big buck" maybe it's time for glasses.:( How's the grouse hunting around the property you have?
 
I have been told by some of the locals that there are some grouse in the area but the numbers are fair at best. I have hunted a couple of times around there but I didn't find any birds. But I keep looing when I have time.

Here's a better picture of that grouse! It's amazing what habitat work can do, our small property has become a favorite for woodcock, always hold a few grouse and even some pheasant call it home! You don't need hundreds of acres.
