Day after Thanksgiving hunt

I was thinking about taking Gunner my GSP out this morning. I usually hunt south of Des Moines. Should I go to my decent public spot or try somewhere new?

What part of the state do you hunt in and what would you do?

I tend to travel around a lot. I usually hunt close to home for opener, then off to the western part of the state. I make a point to try new areas every year , some are bust some hold birds. Whatever you decide it?s better than working. Good luck

well i live in runnells you could give the neil smith wild life refuge a whirl. i hunt there all the time there are birds there but its wide open areas and large tracks of it so you better be prepared to do some hiking. stop and see the buffalo and elk also.
