We have been getting a lot of rain over the past 4 days and today some snow but it's not sticking. Bottom line is that this is going to delay harvest quite a bit. We might see some sun by Friday but temps for the next week are highs of 30's and 40's and lows of 20's and 30's. Not very good drying weather. While a few crops have been harvested there will be a lot of unharvested crops in the field on the opener.

One of the main reasons I don't head that way until November! Clear out most of the early hunters in the first few weeks, let the weather get a little cooler, less crop in the field; everything about November is better, outside of maybe a few less dumb, young birds.

We pushed our trip out 3 weeks this year for this reason exactly! Last couple years over half of the crops have still been in the field when we go, this year hoping for close to none we shall see how out plan works out???
