how does the corn/bean production look? any thoughts on early or late harvest?

USDA South Dakota September 25 report:

Corn - 32% mature behind 61 last year and 57 average.

Beans - 75% behind 82 average.

Another report will be available next Monday or Tuesday

Yes...SD. Sorry I conveyed conditions in the wrong state! Can't speak for Iowa, but assume the USDA has the same report for that state.

From Oct. 2 report, crop conditions appear to be mostly "good".
6% corn harvested; behind 18% average.
16% beans harvested; behind 23% average.
