I've grown and have lived in South Dakota my entire life, but what happened today during the opener was something that might not happen ever again. We went out in a group of 18, split into two groups....we were having cocktails and discussing the hunt in 48 minutes, limited out. Absolutely nuts. I have never seen so many birds, even the older hunters that remember the "days" said it's been the best they've seen since their good old days.
It wasn't a great day by weather standards, pretty windy, but that didn't even matter....birds galore. One for the books.
