It was an awesome Montana opener Saturday, awoke to heavy frost and crisp temps in the teens, it was great for hunters and dogs! And, as I was figuring bird numbers are way up where I was hunting. Now I just need to wait a couple of weeks for the hobby hunters to call it a year and the real bird hunting will start. But it looks like the high expectations I had for this year are materializing here in NE Montana! Just hope elk and deer season opens as good as pheasant did...LOL.
 
Looks like I picked a good year to make my first trip to Montana.
Start driving there on Friday. Sunday its, Huns, Sharptail and if pheasants get in the way, them to :D
