Just spoke to a rancher friend out east.

-Heavy rains have been far more often vs. last year
-Cow are already grazing in their CRP
-He feels bird season should be better vs. last year - just not like 2010, 2011

I guess I might do the roundup this year...didn't do it last year.

Thinking I will head back to Kansas this year (didn't go last year for the first time since I was deployed and in Korea back in 01 - 02.

How was the puppy class? I didn't make obviously, got back really late from taking my younger daughter to college.

I want to try and come out training again, just tough during the week as I work.

I went out last Friday and there was standing water in some fields, and the cover was much better. One farmer told me it was better because they cant cut the CRP for emergency hay this year. Didnt see a single bird, but that probably has more to do with the standing crops and additional cover :thumbsup:
 
My uncle owns a piece of land out there and a couple of weeks ago he said that the dirt roads were so muddy in some spots that he couldn't drive his suburban down them. So i think the rain's really picking up.
