Hello everyone, I live up in Loveland, Colo. and have been an avid hunter for 34 years now. My bird hunting travels include Ariz, Wyo, S.D., Neb, Kan, and of course my home state of Colorado. Which, by the way has too many damn ignorant people in it. I love being in the field with my GSP Bleu and anything in my hands that goes bang and smells like burnt powder. I enjoy this forum tremendously . The wealth of good information only comes from you guys and gals that have experienced it. Thanks, Chad:cheers:

Welcome to the board. I've found it easier to not come to your state to fly fish recently because of the excess of ignorant people of which you speak. Good luck dealing with them day in and day out. I feel for you!

Welcome to UPH, as you know we are always happy to help. Come back often we are always open...........Bob

Welcome to the site!

Sorry to hear about your frustration with the people from CO (Texans?:p) When we lived there (mid to late 90s), I was pleasantly surprised with the availability of quality public hunting opportunities available, compared to my home state of TX. Of course, I understand that during the time frame that we lived there, the bird population might have been a little better than what I hear they are now.

Rhodi, actually bird populations are up to where they were in 1974. It is actually pretty good. Yuma, Phillips, Sedgewick counties are well above average.People are seeing and harvesting a lot of ringnecks. Since my family homesteaded here in 1887, I still want to apologize to everyone that we are a blue state now............

We lived in CS and did mostly quail hunting from CS south over towards Rocky Ford. Used to see an abundance of Blues in those areas. Saw more ringnecks the further east we went.

Chad, Tucker and I welcome you to this great site! Hope you enjoy is as much as the rest of us! Looking forward to hearing from you often.

Happy New Year,
Rod
