I am new to the site, but I've been hunting pheasants on and off since 1983. I grew up in the Nebraska Panhandle, and I know live in the Denver area.
I haven't done much hunting to speak of in the last several years, as both of my labs reached retirement age and have since passed on. I now have a young yellow lab, who's ready for her season of hunting. She's been great so far on planted quail, so we'll see how she reacts to wild roosters.
As the season nears, I find myself spending most of my time at work surfing the web for bird hunting & bird dog training sites. Heading back to Nebraska this opening weekend for a taste of the real thing. Hopefully the birds (and the dog) cooperate
