C'mon -- let's hear some reports

Congrats to you. January public birds are as hard to kill as deer. Maybe smarter. It's been a good year, can't complain at all about bird numbers. I was into birds on every hunt. Good year to start a pup. You can't count your chickens, but let's hope for a good spring!
 
Thanks watermen, yeah so far the winter has been good to the birds but we have a long way to go. It would be nice to see another favorable spring. It seems these birds haven't had much luck the last ten year (obviously this past year was good to them). I'm with you hoping for a good spring. I was shocked to do that well and I kept my expectations low, but I bagged those two in 1 and half hours and those were the first 2 birds we saw!!! Then we just went hen crazy as expected, but the pup held a few solid points, so I was happy to see hens. Great year!
