Chukar Hunting in Utah

The extremely dry spring and summer this last put a hurting on the chukar population here in Utah. There are a few birds around but I haven't seen any young birds only older and smarter birds and not very many of them. I feel very sorry for the few adults so I will wait for a better year. If anyone is planning on Utah as a chukar destination......you might want to consider another state.
 
Where in UTAH?

I stayed in Tremonton Utah last april when picking up my new DK pup and saw alot of chukar while running my dog
 
North Western Utah..........the Sawtooth mountains, very few or zero young birds
Western Utah..........the Cedar mountains, very few or zero young birds

There were quite a few birds that made it through last winter, the issue was not precipitation between May and October.
