Champ, my new vizsla

I've given up on trying to hide those things. The other day my youngest boy who is six was playing on his tablet for a little. I heard him say "Oh gross, my stylus is under Blitz's balls". It's just a part of having male dogs.

Champ has been exploring the leftover sunflowers and other flowers around the well. The doves like to hang out there and give him some good things to smell. I started shooting off the toy cap gun in the backyard. It is not loud at all but it's nice to start with in the back yard. It's just one of the toy guns you get at Walmart and is less noisy than the vacuum or boys running around.

 to the first paragraph.

I had all 3 boys and family out at a local switch grass field before it turns into parking lots and buildings, I had my wife hold Otis the GWP pup back about 50 +/- yards as I shot a launcher dummy powered by .22 cal blanks for the labs, and he did great, didn't flinch at all he was trying to pull my wife by his lead to come over to us. I then took the dummy and just tossed ( not using the .22 cal. blanks just my hands. )it a few feet in front of the pup and to my surprised he made 2 out of 3 retrieves to me.

Champ has been doing very good the first week and housebreaking is going well. I've been working on some of the basics and he's picking things up well. He did a good job with "stay" today with a couple of distractions.

I'm looking forward to the time when the snow is gone.

Thats some cool shots wish i saw this a while ago been showing my brother trying to get him back in it. He always had vizslas hit him hard to loose them been 15 yrs now. He loves your photos..

Bauer, how do you work on the pup with the other two. That's a big problem I'm having especially with the younger lab ( he's only 2 ) the jealousy is running rampant in my house.

Nittany doesn't bother him too much. He's 10 and likes to sleep or hunt at this point. On the cold mornings I think he prefers sleeping in a warm bed. Blitz likes to play with Champ but if I'm working on something with Champ, I put Blitz outside for a little. So far it's not a problem but I have only been working on the basics- walking on a leash, stay, come and taking him to places to meet other people. Once the weather improves I'll start working with him outside more.

Good point, I'll try to do more separation.
