Car Sickness

I have 5 1/2 month old pup that started to get car sick. He gone on road trips every week since he was 8 weeks old. 2 weeks ago he started to vomit on 15 minute ride. Last week was our opening weekend for pheasant hunt he vomit 2 times on the hour ride to our spot. I'm taking him to South Dakota which is 11 hour drive. I wandering if anyone has try giving there dog a kids dose Dramamine tablet. I feed him at 8pm at night, if I didn't feed him in morning before we left, he would go 24 hours without eating, that a long time for pup to not eat.
 
Check with your Vet. But I think you can give them Dramamine. All but one dog that I've been around that did that got over it. The best thing to do is exactly what you're doing. It may help if you start taking them almost everywhere you go. Also letting them ride in the cab can help. But that opens up other problems like bailing in the cab every time the door opens.
 
Is the dog up to where he can see out the windows when you are on these rides? We had a little dog that would get sick if she was on the floor. It happened taking her to the vet, he acted like everyone should know not to put a dog on the floor...I didn't, until that moment.
