What are guys using for their video cameras, in the market for an upgrade. Wondering if anyone is using anything other than a gopro? Also you have chosen the camera your using. Searched to see if there were other posts on this subject but didn't find any. Thanks in advance.

I used a dji last year I didn’t film but once this year. It works fine .I went with it for battery life , quick charging, and the mounting system.

what did you like about the mounting system?

You can mount on the end and quick tach so you have access to your battery and sd card. You have to get creative with how you mount it and have to play with it. to get it right but you get a nice flat view of your gun closer to the line of sight. I would have done a couple things different if I was starting over and shave a little more weight off. I can snap some pictures this weekend if you want to see them.

That would be awesome if you get the time I would appreciate it, you can message it to me if you like. Which DJI are you using?

My wife bought me THESE for my birthday last fall. You can control them with your voice or turn on the recording with a button on the R temple. I have several great videos of my dog on point, the shot and the retrieve. The video quality is pretty good.
I ALWAY wear glasses in the field so I don’t notice them but sometimes I forget to turn them on.

I got a gopro 10. They release one every year around the start of pheasant season. The 14 should drop in sept-oct of this year. Gopro's business model is to release a new camera every year to drive sales, which I understand. Often the differences from to year are very small. From the gopro 10 through the 13 you would notice zero difference in footage quality, the only changes were minor features, or ones that you wouldn't use for hunting anyways. If you look at buying new before season, I'd keep an eye on a 10 or 11, they go on sale frequently. As far as DJI osmo, I've heard good things and seen nice footage. One thing they have over gopro is a larger sensor size. This really helps in low light. I've noticed on cloudy days, evenings my gopro footage will look very dark. The gopro 14 is rumored to have a larger sensor which people have been asking for for a long time.
