California's No. 1 Wild Pheasant Refuge/Wildlife Area

Anybody know the No. 1 refuge/wildlife area in the state for wild pheasant harvest? Hint: It ain't Gray Lodge. Let's hear some thoughts.

Winner, winner, pheasant dinner. It is indeed the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area -- far and away the No. 1 wild pheasant producer in the state.

Grizzly Island's harvest may be somewhat skewed. Though it has a population of wild pheasants, birds also are planted for junior and women's hunts that take place. Planted pheasants also come into the property from the bordering Birds Landing pheasant club.

I know Yolo is good. I wonder what the average per hunter taken was last year? I think Yolo gets alot of people during the opener.
