Just curious if anyone has participated in the rooster roundup held anually in Burlington? Seems that for $100 you get whole season access to property(50,000 acres)set aside for those willing to donate to their Rotary Club. Seems like a win-win for everyone as far as I am concerned. I might participate this year due to the fact that I would like to hunt some "wild birds" while I am stationed in Colorado. Just curious if anyone has any experience with this program.

It's a good deal & a surprizing amount of birds early-on if you don't mind LOTS of company (especially opening wknd)...Gets pretty well burnt over by mid-season, I spent some time there in late season last yr & couldn't hardly find a single bird other than a stray hen - quickly moved on to further horizons for my money-spots (not paid, just hard-earned & sought-out money-in-the-bank go-to spots elsewhere).

Nice time of comraderie & good breakfast on the season opener though if you like that sort of thing. Be careful with strangers flingin lead & book a hotel room Early if you're gonna do it!
