Browning XT 12 Gauge

My son currently shoots an Remington 1100 for trap,skeet and sporting clays. My question is. Will a Browning XT be a good next step for him to be more competitive? I have found one with Mueller choke tubes adjustable comb and but plate for $1800. Is this a good deal?

Not really. The XT is a great trap gun but it is not set up for sporting clay or skeet. I know some guys use it as an all around gun but it is a trap gun. The XS would be a better choose IMO.
