never been impressed with Fieldsport gun room, they think very highly of their guns. Have used guns priced higher than you can by some new. They do carry a good selection of shells.

The bss is a great gun, I messed up and didn't buy a 20 when I was in my 20's. I did get a 12ga and love it but heavy to carry.

I like how they swing and fit. I passed up a couple 10 years ago for $400 bucks a piece, a 12 and a 20 gauge. I couldn't get to the buyers house fast enough.

You might try a aya matador. 1/2 the price of a used bss. Seems it was a knockoff of the bss imo. From Spain 1960’s -1980’s? Find them on web or gun shows?

I can feel your pain Cowan regarding the 20, I was looking last night at 12 prices and wow they have shot up since i bought mine. I have read a few places where the bss was a poor mans winchester 21. The 21 is on my bucket list too.
