Over the past 50 years I have had 3 Browning BSS shotguns. One 12 ga. and two 20's. They are probably one of the best bult SxS's ever made. Built like a tank and will never wear out. They just never made it due to poor timing apparently. Introduced in the early 70's and discontinued in about 1987. My 12 ga. had 26" tubes and weighed in as a little under 8 lbs. It was a load to carry in the field all day but a great gun.

Will do. Does it have 26" barrels? In this era of everyone wanting light weight guns it might be a tough sell. Have you weighed it? You might consider posting it on GunBroker.com.

Thanks for the pics. Great gun. Great price. Thought it was a 20 initially. I’ve got a BSS in 12 already. Anybody wanting a SxS can’t go with a BSS

From what I'm reading, 28" or 30" barrels are more desirable today since these guns are mainly being used for sporting clays and waterfowl hunting due to the weight. I'm waiting for the OP to tell us the length of the barrel on this BSS.

I just gave the info to a guy I know that has been collecting Browning shotguns. He's thinking about it.
