Well the amateur Pheasant hunting is over for the year.
The first Blizzard of the year is sweeping across the Pheasant Hunting Capital, I-90 is closed for about two hundred miles this morning, from Wyoming East to Murdo and will probably close all the way across the state by evening.
The North central counties around Aberdeen - Pheasant Central - are just about to get pounded - 60 MPH winds and 1-2 feet of snow.
My guess is that if the corn is not in it will be down after tonight.
Impact on Pheasants will probably not be severe as it should warm up enough to melt some off next week.
It will be hard to hunt great big gaggles of birds in crunchy snow.
Should be fun to try - Labs and Springerâ??s will rule the day now.
I leave for a 10 day odyssey with a friend from Gloucester, MA on Wednesday AM!

Every day hunting beats any day working!
