Tragic and I feel terrible for the owner. I couldn’t imagine having this happen to one of my girls. I’d be devastated!

I hope the shooter is identified and gets charged/convicted. Hard to believe the AG couldn’t at least charge the shooter with animal cruelty. Sounds like the cops on site weren’t much help.

I also always run a blaze vest on my dogs.
As someone who has hunted coyotes a lot day and night, there is no way possible to mistake that dog for a coyote. If that happened to me, I don’t think the shooter would have much of a life to live after I beat him with my shotgun to within an inch of his existence.
