bird dog competition question

I was looking to try either of my dogs in bird dog competition next spring but I noticed they are both limited in akc registration. One only says for breeding so figured I can with him. . Other has a number and says dog events restricted. Figured I can't use the lab then. Just trying to make sure that's correct.. or if I still can with both not really seeing these tournaments say anything about akc
