Biggest flush or field numbers?

The times I've spent in SD were truly incredible, the number of pheasants I saw. That was spring snow goose hunting around the Huron to Redfield area. From what I heard from my buddies in the area, this season was pretty much the worst they can recall.

Kansas can be very good hunting, and in some areas it can be "South Dakota like". However, South Dakota is without a doubt the best pheasant hunting state. The numbers of pheasants out there can be absolutely mind boggling, even in bad years.

That said, we're fortunate that Kansas is still a top pheasant state. Most states don't have huntable populations of wild pheasants. We are truly blessed to have them, along with our quail and prairie chickens.

Hopefully both states have great hunting next season.
