Bibs for wet/snow

Been sayin for years Im gonna get some. Whenever it snows, all the snow ends up down my chaps. Anyone have insight on waterproof uninsulated bibs? The Duck Camp softshell bibs look nice and are on sale right now. Thought about Dan’s nylon bibs too

Check out Stone creek hound supply. they make the closest to the old Wick chaps and bibs. I have a pair of the uninsulated bibs but it has to be pretty cold or I get too hot

Bibs while birds hunting, sounds like a portable sauna. You will swear they are leaking after 30 minutes. Is the snow coming over the top (like waist deep snow) or is it creeping in under, down by your boots?

When that wet snow hangs onto the grass/weeds/brush, it goes straight down the chaps. I usually get soaked 3-4 times a year. No way in hell would I wear insulated bibs

I don't have that issue with when wearing chaps. I wear longer hunting coats in snowy and cold conditions, that hang below the waist and low enough that the snow isn't going into my chaps. Are you wearing a short coat or maybe need to hike the chaps up a bit?

Aren't hunting costs traditional a bit long? I have an old Cabelas and an LL Bean and they are similar in length. They sure aren't ski jackets in lenght. What is your top layer in those conditions?
