Been awhile since last pheasant hunt, any advice?

Hello fellow hunters,
Myself & my family (Father & 2 brothers) went out pheasant hunting around Haxtun/Holyoke on opening day...We hunted all weekend after taking a few years off... We noticed a drastic decrease in the pheasant... Needless to say, all we left with was a bunny... Any advice on finding these willy roosters would be immensely appreciated! Been known to pay in beer...lol :cheers: !

P.S. We have also been considering quail hunting if the pheasant numbers are just bad this year... Never been, any suggestions in that area would also be greatly appreciated as well! Same deal here too...lol :cheers:

Not sure where you are, but contact the local/state DNR for advice on locations to get pheasants or maybe the local Pheasants Forever chapter. Post this in the Colorado forum on here too.

If your just wanting to shoot a few birds and have a good time with family look up hunting clubs in your area. I realize it's not the same as wild birds but if you have a dog they will still have a good time and you can chalk it up as time spent with family.
