Bad luck

I hunted all day on Tuesday as my wife was working a 48 hour ER shift and when I got home I noticed one of my T-5 Garmin minis needed charged. I attached the charging clips as I always do and yesterday morning noticed they all showed green which means fully charged. I removed the clips and took them hunting.
I tried to power two of the T5 minis on but they are completely dead! As a door nail! Neither one worked. I hunted for a few hours, came home and hooked them to my computer. They both connected to Garmin Web Updater but that didn’t make any difference.
I called Garmin Customer Service. They have discontinued the T5 Minis and don’t have an exchange program for them anymore. You can send them in and for $140 each they will rebuilt them but it will be 2 weeks turn around from when they receive them. Probably 4 weeks before they are back! Ugh! The customer service guy told me to try changing the battery which I did but it still didn’t work. When you attach the charging clip the light turns red and a few minutes later starts blinking red.
So, I have two new T20 collars on the way, be here next Tuesday I hope.
What are the odds that two would quit at the same time?

Don’t buy any lotto tickets in the near future.

If they are the same age and get equal usage i am not surprised they died at the same time. Also there may have been an electrical surge that caused that. I would need a way to check the charger also.

Ditto, them LI chargers are well they tell us there smart chargers I like the dumb one. Try taking a 12v jump starter or battery and charge the collar. sometimes if the battery voltage gets to low the charger wont charge. good luck
