Well it's better than Kimball! I have hunted for years south and west of Auburn. It's has always been among the best in the state, along the Kansas border and up two counties. It's not as good it was 3 years ago, when thing improve, it will again be better, might rival the better habitat in a lot of states. A good days hunt might result in 2-4 coveys in the day. I have done that even now. I would advise the cover where you have quail can be brutal. I use the super nosed dogs, with range, to maximize contact. About like NW Missouri, NE-NC Kansas.
