Any experience out there with these guns? Seem to have good reviews on all the usual places. Just wanted some real world experience from people that actual own or have owned them ie weight, balance, fit finish ,and over all performance. Looking at it for a Xmas present for my black gun waterfowl obsessed youngest son(lol). Thanks for any info.

I have the Weatherby Orion 1 20 gauge. Bought it about a year ago. Fit and finish are pretty good no complaints there. Weight is 6.15 lbs on my scale, I have only taken it out a few times pheasant hunting and found it shoots well and the trigger pull is very good. Only reason I don't use it more I prefer my 16 gauges. The Weatherby will get used when my grandkids go along pheasant hunting I wouldn't hesitate getting one for the money they are a nice gun.

I have one in 12 gauge that I obtained in a trade. I have had no issues in the two years I have had it. I’ve been using it more this year and seems like a decent gun in that I’m not worried about scratches and dings. The action was stiff when it was new but opens easily now.
