Ask your Ecollar maker to bring manufacturing back to U.S.A

I purchased a new Dogtra e collar 3 years ago or so, it is my third purchase of Dogtra collars, it was the 2502 T&B. It has had its issues, the controller does not always respond when pushing appropriate button, the contact points have come off of both collars which had to be replaced, I was very lucky first time, the receiver came off collar, but was able to find it by pressing beeper locate. The first two collars I owned from Dogtra were made in the U.S., but now this latest collar is from over seas. I would urge ALL to call you e-collar maker, urge them to bring manufacturing back to the U.S. I will tell you, first manufacturer to do so will earn my business when I am aware of this change. I was just on the phone with Dogtra in California urging them to do so for what it is worth, but if more and more call, they WILL take notice.
 
I am on my third 2502. Dogtra has replaced mine twice for free due to malfunctions. Also, advertised range is about 10x farther than actual range.
 
That is odd.....I have same collar, only two dog, they refused to pay for either set of contact points the last two times I have purchased. The first time the collar was only a couple months past the warranty. They did pay for shipping the second time. I still have my older collars, in my opinion, the older collars where much better. Are you a Dogtra dealer by chance? I would still urge you to contact them and ask them to bring the making of collars back to the states,

E-Collar Technologies collars are assembled in the USA from parts made in South Korea.

Garmin Tri-Tronics collars are made in Taiwan.

Dogtra and DT Systems collars are made in South Korea.

SportDOG and Petsafe collars are made in China.

I never really thought about this but I'm with you on the idea. I'm a SportDog user and will drop them a line.
 
While American consumers like to talk about buying American Made, they long ago proved they cared about the bottom line more then where it was made.
