ashley nd.

We hunted not to far away in Fredonia last fall and roosters were almost non existent. Hunted two days and maybe flushed 5 birds. We headed west to Linton and got into decent bird numbers. My guess is that the Ashley area will need at least a year of good conditions to rebuild.

I would wait for bird numbers to come out and then look at precipitation maps and stay away from areas that get a lot of rain in May/June/July.

This website is a great resource:

For sure good area for ducks. Has been some good pheasant hunting. Bet you could find pockets here and there. Get into the prime habitat and you'll get a limit with a hard days hunt.
