Anywhere around Champaign area to hunt birds???

I moved to the Champaign area a year ago...i used to live in Springfield and hunted Jim Edgar Panther Creek alot. Since moving to the Champaign area I have been unable to find anywhere to run and hunt behind my 2 pointing labs. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know these dogs need to get some hunting in this year. Thanks

Burls,if you are looking to hunt wild birds,Clinton Lake SRA in Dewitt County and Shelbyville SFWA in Moultrie County are your best bets.They usually harvest over 100 wild ringnecks a year and I believe all you need is a free permit issued by their site offices.Kickapoo SRA and Middle Fork SFWA(both are in Vermillion County)have decent wild bird hunting as well.If you like the state run controlled pheasants,Moraine View SRA in McLean County is closest to you.Check the IDNR website for phone numbers to these locations.
