Oh how I wish...Best of luck to ya!

If you don't manage to find anyone else, personally I have had some of my most pleasurable & memorable times afield just me & the pooch going it alone...

as a single hunter you may have some luck knocking on doors...give it a try, all they can do is say no....have fun.

I will be out that way with myself and a buddy. We will have 3 shorthairs and a couple of britts. Let me know what towns you will be inand maybe we could meet up.

Don't know if you still have access to a computer, but what part of SW KS. I'm in Scott County & hunt Scott,Gove,Lane, could be up for a few hour drive though.

This morning me & my 2 Labs walked some WIHA's by ourselves. Did see a couple Colorado vehicles that beat me to a WIHA close to town; that was ok, I went out about 4pm & caught them flying back in from the stubble.

Sorry that I didn't get back to ya'll. I didn't check the site on Thanksgiving (family!!) and left at 2 in the morning to get to Kansas. Had a great hunt with just me and my 9 year old duck dog (black lab) who does a damn good job on pheasant seeing that he only gets about 4- days a year on them. Limited both days on Public Walk ins although Saterday was extremily windy and I ended up missing quite a few birds before I finished.(this was after going 4 for 4 on Friday.. that was the first time ever I shot that wellI knew it couldn't last  ) I'd be glad to head back to the area in a few weeks if ya'll are still interested. I hunted a bit closer to the Colorado border then Scott City (north west of Lakin) but am always up for a new area/ experience. Cheers
