It can be a blast and no Ringneck is safe with two Springers searching every bit of cover IN FRONT OF YOU! It can also be a nightmare, especially on windy days!! A lot of course would depend on how much control you have over your pups.
Having said that, think about the ideal range and quartering of your Springer. There's really no need for a single hunter to work two dogs within this space, yes it's done all the time and can be a lot of fun. However if your going to do a lot of hunting during the season it might be a better idea to hunt them individually and keep them both fresh. Now if your going to hunt with a partner the two dogs makes more sense. Conditions also play a role, for instance if your hunting tall cattails or switch grass on a windy day it can get VERY tricky to keep track of both if your by yourself! I think it's a great idea to get another Springer and start training him! A deadly combination is if your hunting partner also has a Springer and his/her pup is working for that gun covering the appropriate range, it doesn't get much better than that!
